High Water: a campaign strategy game set in North Carolina’s 11th District (NC-11)
High Water is a free, browser-based political strategy game set in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, the Blue Ridge mountains from Asheville to the Tennessee line. Two years after Hurricane Helene, the seat is a toss-up, and the Republican nominee withdrew in August, leaving a late stand-in most voters have never heard of. You run the campaign, not the candidate. Pick your nominee, set your platform, and fight for votes across Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard, Waynesville and Canton on the Pigeon River, the far west from Franklin to Murphy, and the flood towns of Swannanoa, Black Mountain, Marshall, Spruce Pine, Burnsville, and Old Fort.
Define the stand-in first, turn out your base, and win the flood towns, the swing that decides the seat, on election night. Play either party. No sign-up, no download, works in any browser.
The game is part of Campaign Margins, a suite of free political strategy games. It needs JavaScript enabled to play.
