Both multiplayer games work over any screen-sharing platform. The host shares their browser tab. Everyone else joins on their phone. No extra setup, no extra software.
The game is already built for this. The host screen and the player controllers are separate by design -- one is on the shared screen, the other is on everyone's phone.
The host opens the game on their laptop, starts a Discord, Zoom, Meet, or Teams call, and shares their browser tab -- not their whole screen. Everyone on the call now sees the host screen, which is the game board.
The host reads the room code aloud -- it appears on the shared screen when the game starts. Each player opens their phone browser, goes to the join URL, and types the code. They're in.
Every move is submitted privately on each player's phone. The results resolve on the shared screen. The call handles the conversation -- trash talk, strategy debates, election-night reactions. The game handles everything else.
Every platform works. Here is exactly where to find the right button on each one.
Start or join a voice channel. Click the screen icon at the bottom of the screen ("Screen") and pick the browser window or tab running the host screen. Works in any server or DM call.
Click Share Screen in the meeting controls. Choose the browser tab running the host screen from the tab list. Make sure "Share computer sound" is off -- there is no game audio the group needs.
Click the present icon (arrow pointing up into a rectangle) at the bottom of the screen. Choose "A tab" and select the browser tab running the host screen.
Click Share in the meeting controls (the rectangle with an arrow). Choose "Window" and select the browser window running the host screen. Tab-level sharing varies by Teams version.
Players can join on a phone or a second laptop browser tab. Phone is easier -- it keeps the game screen and the video call separate without switching windows.
The room code is four letters. Read it out clearly when the game starts -- players type it, not scan it. If anyone mishears it, it stays on screen the whole time they are joining.
Share the browser tab specifically, not your whole screen or desktop. The image is sharper and your other windows stay private.
You do not need to enable "share computer sound." The game has no audio that players need to hear over the call.
Who's Your Mayor? and The Primary each run 35-45 minutes. A standard hour call gives you time to play and debrief.
